Fishing for carp in summer is one of the most exciting fishing experiences, as this strong and cautious fish requires strong and at the same time not rough gear. Real knights of carp fishing engage in carp fishing almost professionally, investing quite significant amounts of money in fishing.
In small ponds, where small carp are usually caught, float rods with Bolognese and match equipment are used quite successfully. These rods allow you to cast the weight and bait over fairly long distances, and the strong braided line can withstand the jerks of large fish. Village fishermen generally make do with homemade rods with a deaf rig and ordinary bottom fishing rods. Knowing their pond and the peculiarities of local fishing, they manage to catch quite decent fish on it.

For more advanced anglers, special carp rods are intended. The most commonly used are universal rods of the multirange class. This is the middle class. With such rods, you can cast the bait at a distance of up to one hundred and fifty meters, which is most often not required. Rods in the test range from 2.0 to 2.5 lb are considered light, which are used for short casts in reservoirs without a current and with a clean bottom. Medium, with tests from 2.75 to 3.0 lb, are used at short and medium distances. And the most powerful rods with tests from 3.25 to 3.5 lb are used for casting at a distance of more than one hundred meters and in snag-filled places.
